Welcome to the LWV
of Saginaw County

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, has fought since 1920 to improve our systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. The League's enduring vitality and resonance comes from its unique decentralized structure.

The League of Women Voters is strictly nonpartisan; it neither supports nor opposes candidates for office at any level of government. At the same time, the League is wholeheartedly political and works to influence policy through advocacy. It is the original grassroots citizen network, directed by the consensus of its members nationwide.

Open House at the New LWV MICHIGAN Office

The LWV Michigan has announced the opening of their new state office, Suite 3G, 600 W. St. Joseph Street, Lansing.  An Open House will be held on Wednesday, May 2, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. The purpose of the event is to show off the new office to League members, legislators and Lansing area officials.  The new, professional-looking work space demonstrates to Lansing decision makers that the League plans to be an important force at the state and local level. Advocacy efforts in Lansing have increased dramatically in the past year, and our contacts and centers of influence are growing.
