The League of Women Voters is strictly nonpartisan; it neither supports nor opposes candidates for office at any level of government. At the same time, the League is wholeheartedly political and works to influence policy through advocacy. It is the original grassroots citizen network, directed by the consensus of its members nationwide.

Fair and Impartial Judiciary: 100 Turn Out to Help Launch Quest for a More Diverse Judiciary (NEW)
Safeguarding U.S. Democracy: Quest for a More Diverse Judiciary launched its campaign Saturday, October 17, in Topeka, KS, with the Honorable Rebecca Love Kourlis, Executive Director of the Institute for the Advancement of the Legal System, as keynote speaker. There were 100 attendees, including Kansas Supreme Court Justice Marla Luckert, several Supreme Court Nominating Commissioners and Kansas State Representatives, who were present to discuss and hear about the need for a more diverse judiciary in Kansas.
